It's over! The NHL returns today with a full slate of games. None more important than tonights' match-up between the Carolina Hurricanes and the Florida Panthers. The puck drops at 7:30 at the BB&T Center. The Southeastern Conference rivals will meet 4 times during this shortened season. The canes gave up 2.89 goals per game last year and finishhed last in the Southeast. They have added Jordan Staal and Alexander Semin to the line-up to boost our already solid forward lines. The addition of Marc-Andre Gragnani and the return of Joe Corvo will hopefully lift the Canes' D. The Hurricanes have misssed the playoffs in 5 of the last 6 seasons. A new season, shortened though it is, and a new chance to get back to the finals. Let's Go Canes!
