42-14...Roll Tide. I am no Bama fan, but I know good football teams when I see them. I can't stand ND and got in 1000 arguments over them not deserving the ranking they got all year. last night Golson figured out Bama was a little tougher than Green Sea Floyds! Alabama scored 3 touchdowns very quickly and quieted the Irish fans even faster. The tough Notre Dame D was no match for the high-powered Bama offense. AJ McCarron becamse the 1st QB to repeat as back to back national champion. Chris Weinke tried in 1999-2000 beating Mike Vick and Va Tech then losing to Oklahoma. Miami tried again with Ken Dorsey winning in 01 and losing to Ohio State in 02. Matt Leinart won it with USC in 2005 against Oklahoma (though it was later vacated because of the whole Reggie Bush scandal) and lost the next year to the Texas Longhorns and Vince Young.
